It’s been quite a few months since I’ve done a post. Time flies, and the blog has taken a back seat to so many other little things going on in my life.
The good news is that I’ve been collecting a lot of content and hopefully will get back into the swing of things very soon. Finally, with the long weekend coming up, I wanted to do a quick post about the two cookbooks that I’m currently in love with. Here they are, in case you need some recipe inspiration for the weekend.
I recently made the snickerdoodle cookies. They are chewy and buttery with a double dose of cinnamon. I also made the upside-down pineapple cut out cake made with fresh pineapple, coconut milk, and rum. What’s not to like? I’m planning on making the blondies with malted milk and white chocolate this weekend.

Downtime by Nadine Levy Redzepi
I’m obsessed with the Do-It-All Cake, and have made it numerous times. I served it with roasted buttered sour cherries. Another dessert recipe that was a hit with my coworkers was the brownies with flaky sea salt and white chocolate. They are dense, chewy, and so satisfying. On the savory side, I made the roast chicken with potatoes and thyme, and the baked salmon with thyme and thin potatoes. These two dishes are fit for a weeknight dinner or a weekend dinner party. Make sure to watch Ugly Delicious Episode 3 on Netflix to get a closer look at Nadine’s cooking style.
