The first time I tasted Muir Glen Organic canned fire roasted tomatoes, I could not believe how much more flavorful they were compared to canned regular tomatoes. Ever since then that is the only brand I buy.
One of my favorite dishes to make with fire roasted tomatoes is chicken and corn enchiladas. The smoky and charred flavor of the fire roasted tomatoes is great in the dish.

My family loves macaronni and tomatoes. It is just cooked macaronni and a can of Muir Glen tomatoes. Sometimes I add some tomatoe sauce in to thicken it up a little. Very simple, plain, and easy to make, and takes no time at all if you are running late. Serve with some butter bread and you have a simple meal. Would love to win the gift basket!! Thanks for the opportunity to enter.
I like canned tomatoes as the base for lentil soup. Add lentils to a mixture of curry, cumin, and other spices, lentils, chicken broth, and ginger. Delicious!
My favorite recipe for canned tomatoes is a savory stew with eggplant, potatoes and garbanzo beans. A touch of garlic, lots of onions and a topping of feta chess and cilantro finish off the bowl of steaming goodness!
My favorite recipe for canned tomatoes is Bistec Picado, a traditional Panamanian beef dish with green and red peppers, onions and many other vegetables. Thanks so much for this giveaway!
Chili. I use the canned tomatoes in chili. It is very nice indeed.
We love our tacos with one can of Muir Glen diced tomatos it makes the meat moist and tasty.
Yum! My favorite recipe that includes canned tomatoes, and how I discovered fire roasted tomatoes, is Black Bean Chili with Butternut Squash, a bon appetit recipe that I found here: http://www.thebittenword.com/thebittenword/2011/02/black-bean-chili-with-butternut-squash-.html
I always have at least one can of tomatoes in my pantry for soup, pasta sauce, etc. I actually really like using canned tomatoes as a base for Japanese Hayashi rice (it’s like a thinner curry)
Why pasta sauce of course. I’m Italian and it’s genetic!!!
I did not have a time to write this post, so maybe I could win 😉 I love tomatoes sauteed with onions and then poaching eggs in that sauce. SO good.
My favorite dish to make with canned tomatoes is baked ziti casserole. Thanks for the giveaway!

I only use muir glen! I use for everything from vegan chili to pasta sauce and tomato white bean soup!
Oh yum! Fire roasted anything sounds delicious. I bet they’d be incredible in my marinara. I’ve modified the recipe over time and don’t really measure anymore. I stopped using butter and just use oil, so it’s vegan, too. http://everyfoodfits.com/2010/05/27/so-where-are-you-from-%E2%80%93-chicago-style-pizza/
We use Muir Glen fire roasted tomatoes in everything especially on my homemade pizza dough! We heat oil in a pan, add onions and garlic, then add the fire roasted tomatoes and let it reduce. For my dough, into a breadmaker goes 3/4 cup warm water, tbsp oil, tsp sugar and salt, tsp yeast and 2 and 1/4 flour. Its awesome. Some fresh mozzareLla and basil and baked at 425 until bubbly! Yum!
Muir Glen was first familiar to us from Americas Test Kitchen and we’ve been using it ever since! Greatest tomato sauce maker ever!!!
I love to use them in chili and pasta sauce!
We usually just cook up some ground turkey and add in kidney beans, pasta, corn and lots of canned tomatoes.
