Some Pictures from New Orleans

I just returned from a 12 day work/play trip to New Orleans. When I found out that I would be going to New Orleans for work, I knew that I had to stay a little bit longer to relax and really enjoy everything that NOLA had to offer. I don’t particularly like to do restaurant reviews, but I had the opportunity to try so many different places that I decided I wanted to share my favorite places to eat. So all this week I will be sharing with you the ones I think should not be missed.

I love how you can walk around in NOLA day or night, and run into impromptu performances on the street:

Performance late at night on Frenchman Street

Performance and Dancing on Royal Street

Still Life of a Man Climbing a Ladder

Still Life of a Man ‘Walking’

Gotta love all the confections you can get in NOLA:

Just Poured Chocolate Pralines at Aunt Sally’s Pralines

Tortues (Turtles) at Southern Candy Makers

French Market: Great Place to Shop for Souvenirs

You can always get out of New Orleans and go see the many plantations nearby:

I have loved cooking and baking since I was 5 years old. It was the one activity that I would share with all my extended family. Like most people, I love traveling. I love visiting the markets, exploring unknown ingredients, and bringing them back home with me for inspiration. I find that recipes with simple and pure ingredients yield the best results.
