DC Food Bloggers Bake Sale For Haiti

I recently found out via Twitter that a DC Food Bloggers Bake Sale for Haiti was being organized by Stephanie from the blog Adventures in Shaw. The bake sale will take place on Sunday, March 28th from 9am to 11am on the patio at Zorba’s Café (1612 20th Street, NW) which is about half a block from the Dupont Circle Farmers Market. All proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders efforts in Haiti. I will be contributing brownies and vanilla bean, gianduja, lychee, and lemon cream macarons.

Please stop by and check out the baked goods from DC Food Bloggers. Instead of reading about food, come taste some baked goods and help Haiti!

I have loved cooking and baking since I was 5 years old. It was the one activity that I would share with all my extended family. Like most people, I love traveling. I love visiting the markets, exploring unknown ingredients, and bringing them back home with me for inspiration. I find that recipes with simple and pure ingredients yield the best results.
